Deputy Commissioner Luisa Linares details how ACS matches families to specific programs based on their unique circumstances and needs. She provides examples of different program types and their purposes.

  • Family Treatment Rehabilitation programs for families dealing with drug misuse or mental health concerns
  • Child and Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) program for families with attachment issues or trauma
  • Linares emphasizes that each model is available in every borough to ensure equitable access

So for instance, if we have a family that is presenting with drug misuse or mental health concerns, we have our family treatment rehabilitation programs.

Those programs are the staffing structure, are specific to address those specific issues.

Equally, if we have a family, for instance, with a baby, in this attachment issue and trauma, we will, do our best to match that family to our, CPP program or child and parent psychotherapy.

So we you should expect a difference in terms of the different program types.

That part of the reason why we have, each model available at each borough so that regardless of where you live, your family circumstances should be matched to your need.
