Christopher Leon Johnson, a black resident of District 41, testifies in support of bringing back stop and frisk and maintaining the gang database. He argues these measures are necessary to combat high crime rates in certain districts and to deal with the current migrant crisis.
- Johnson claims stop and frisk can help remove guns and knives from the streets, potentially saving lives.
- He opposes abolishing the gang database, citing the need for law enforcement to track criminal migrants.
- Johnson acknowledges the racial disparities associated with these policies but believes the current crime situation justifies their use.

3:55:31

Christopher Leon Johnson
3:55:33
Yeah.
3:55:33
Yeah.
3:55:33
Hello.
3:55:33
My name is Christopher Leon Johnson.
3:55:35
Thank you.
3:55:35
Chair.
3:55:35
So long for holding this hearing on this.
3:55:38
Bad bad Monday, but I want to make this clear that we need to bring back stop it for us.
3:55:43
I'm support stop it for us because I live in a high district, high crime district district 41, and it's a bad neighborhoods.
3:55:50
A lot of children that happen around here and with stop and frisk, if we could stop people from on the street, we could catch a lot of these guns and knives and maybe the crime will be mitigated like that.
3:56:00
Could you ever know people are out to kill or maim somebody if they have a gun or the knife Time for says needed because of that.
3:56:06
And another thing is, I know everybody want to eradicate the game database, which was done by Reynoso.
3:56:11
For the truth, the matter of fact, about the game database is that we can't abolish it right now because we have a criminal migrant, segment in this city that is doing a lot of damage to the city, and Donald Trump is coming back.
3:56:24
I'm not here to to for to push a candidate, but Donald Trump is coming back, and ICE needs to know who these guys and gals are.
3:56:32
It's easier for the NYPD and the federal government agencies to know who these guys and gals are.
3:56:38
So you cannot eradicate the gang gang database.
3:56:40
I understand that there's a lot of, disparity with the gang gang database, But if this was about 3 years ago before this crisis and the situation with the migrant crisis, I understand that the gang database would be the should be the virus.
3:56:52
But right now, you just can't do.
3:56:53
It's unrealistic.
3:56:54
And back to stop a prisk, we need it because crime is high in a lot of these districts, especially in the hot like, my district, district 41, Meeley's district, district 55, 8055, Latrice Walker, we need it.
3:57:06
I'm black, and I'm saying as a black man that we need to bring it back.
3:57:09
We need to increase it more.
3:57:11
Because with this, it can get a lot of guns up the street.
3:57:13
It can get a lot of United on the street.
3:57:14
It can save a lot of lives.
3:57:15
It can save a lot of times when getting shot and killed by a stray bullet because god keep on beefing and stuff like that.
3:57:20
So I'm black.
3:57:22
I totally support Stop and Frisk.
3:57:24
I understand that these guys and gals are out here today fighting against it.
3:57:28
I understand their pain, but this is a new time right now.
3:57:31
This is a new time.
3:57:31
Time's expired.
3:57:32
Thank you.
3:57:33
So thank you.
3:57:33
Thank you so much.
3:57:34
Thank you.
