Council Member Stevens expresses concerns about the concentration of city contracts among a small group of organizations and the high executive salaries at these organizations.
- Some organizations hold multiple contracts across different city agencies (DSS, DYCD, ACS)
- There are instances of executives making half a million dollars while their organizations receive numerous city contracts
- The Council Member emphasizes the need to evaluate the broader spectrum of contracts held by organizations
- She acknowledges that while these organizations may do good work, there's a need to consider how the current system might be eliminating opportunities for other potential providers

I have one more question, so I'm just gonna stop you then.
2:34:46
And we can definitely continue the conversation because I do think we need to get to a place where we're looking at all the players that are getting these contracts and then trying to make sure that we're balancing it out because, you know, we do have a group of folks.
2:34:58
And and and when you look at some of the executive salaries, they have a lot of the city's contracts.
2:35:03
And so I think even some of the questioning from my colleagues can speak to that of like, well then how are we justifying this.
2:35:08
Right?
2:35:09
So we have, you know, folks making half a $1,000,000 and then they they're getting, you know, the bulk of the contracts from the city.
2:35:15
It becomes a problem.
2:35:16
So I think we we definitely need to be looking at the bigger spectrum, like, as our fees are coming in, how many contracts they have on the on the as DSS, DYCD, ACS, and all these different things because a lot of these organizations over the spectrum are getting a lot of contracts from the city.
2:35:31
And here's the thing.
2:35:31
I'm not saying that they don't do good work, but what I'm saying is we also have to think about, like, how are we also evaluating it for them to get the RFPs, and then thinking about how are we eliminating other people from getting them.
2:35:41
I mean, one of the biggest ways is that we are reimbursement, but that's not your fault, but we gonna work on that.
