Today, I wanna highlight the extraordinary leaders that we are choosing to honor with street co namings as my, colleague, council member Carr, said the Black Angels Way at Seaview Hospital is recognizing the incredible contributions of African American nurses who played a vital role in curing tuberculosis.

These amazing Staten Islanders have made a lasting impact in our community and my district, particularly Josephine excuse me, Geraldine, Parker, who in particular holds a special place in my heart where we met as she was a tenant leader, president for the Stapleton houses until June of 2022 of her in her her death.
