And, I quickly became a youth leader, and I had 3 of her of 4 kids with me.

And I noticed something with these children.

They they behaved and they just didn't get in trouble, although they could have.
0:07:00
They didn't get in trouble because of Linda.

And so that worked for dozens and dozens, hundreds of children with Linda helping them out, helping to keep them straight.

We joke on the corner of 85th and 84th and and Amsterdam by the garden that she helped to get put open, after they took the garden that she built almost with their own hands next to her building on 84 Street.

And everybody, everybody loved Linda because they knew that they could come to her and say, We got this problem.

We got this.
0:07:47
This landlord has given us a hard time.
0:07:49
Or we can't get Con Ed to work with us.
0:07:52
Linda would find a way.
0:07:56
Dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens of families have benefited from her presence on 80 4th Street, as I did too.

I implore you to allow the neighborhood to remember her.
