Thank you, chair.

Intro 103 and 104 are essential for improving public safety and quality of life in New York City.
0:04:04
Intro 104, as the chair so aptly stated, addresses increasing FDNY and EMS response times by giving FDNY input on the placement of open streets and bike lanes ensuring emergency vehicles can navigate the city's roadways without delay.

And intro 103, a notification bill will require DOT to notify us as elected officials for our districts when there will be a loss of parking.
0:04:34
It does not restrict that loss of parking.
0:04:36
It is a notification.
0:04:39
And this way, we can, as council members, provide notification to any communities that these changes are coming.
0:04:48
Because most of the complaints that we have are that we didn't know it was happening.
0:04:53
And that's where we get the pushback.
0:04:55
So I'd like to alleviate that.
0:04:57
Together, these bills will create a safer, more transparent, and more livable city for all.
