I will now open the public hearing on LUs number 212 and 213 relating to the 441 and 467 Prospect Avenue rezoning proposal in council member Hanif's district in Brooklyn.
2:28:58
The proposal seeks to redevelop the commercial site of the Arrow Linen Company into approximately 244 apartments.
2:29:08
Arrow Linen relocated its commercial laundry facilities, which served many of the city's restaurants, to new facilities on Long Island in 2,013.
2:29:20
The rezoning will also involve the mapping of mandatory inclusionary housing, and approximately 61 of the units would be affordable.
2:29:30
For anyone wishing to testify on these items remotely, you must register online through the council's website at council.nyc.gov/landuse.
2:29:40
And once again, for anyone here in person, please see one of the sergeants to prepare to submit a speaker's card.
2:29:47
If you prefer to submit written testimony, you can always do so by emailing it to land use testimony at council.nyc.gov.
2:29:55
I would now like to give the floor to council member Hanif for her remarks.
