Hello.
3:41:07
Thank you first of all for, giving so much time to us and hearing our concerns.
3:41:14
I'm here on behalf of myself and my husband as a a resident of Windsor Terrace, and I wanna say that I oppose this rezoning application because I feel that it is, the project is so out of scale to the area.
3:41:31
I taught for many years in a public elementary school in the Gowanus area, and I witnessed firsthand what happened when the high rises went up.
3:41:42
Families were driven out completely because the prices for rents and homes became completely out of reach for those families, and the community was destroyed and shifted and changed.
3:41:56
Windsor Terrace is a very welcoming community.
3:41:59
I think we really would like to see some real, work for, yes, in providing housing, but at scale and within reason and within affordability.
3:42:10
So I really think this should go back and get shifted around and find a way to make housing truly affordable and to the scale of this welcoming neighborhood.
3:42:20
And the last thing I wanna add that sunlight is really important in our lives, and I think it's part of what creates a neighborhood as special as this area.
3:42:30
And, you know, it's could we take a moment to say, let's keep our streets in Brooklyn, some of them, sunlight.
3:42:38
Thank you.
