Hi.
3:57:25
My name is, Oluwakemi Adegoke.
3:57:26
I'm one of the OBGYN providers at Jacobi, Medical Center in North Central Bronx, And I just wanted to say, thank you for the my midwife colleagues who testified today, about some of the hardships that we have been facing at least as OBGYN providers.
3:57:42
Our patients are very, very medically complex coming from all over the world to seek care.
3:57:47
And since we are down for we are personally down for OB GYNs at, Jacobi Medical Center, we are often double and triple booked trying to see these medical medically complex patients.
3:57:58
I know that doctor Katz mentioned before about, you know, offloading things with PAs and nurse practitioners and midwives.
3:58:05
We don't actually have those either.
3:58:08
I personally participated in a protest outside of Jacobi Medical Center because our midwife colleagues have not had a contract in 2 years.
3:58:16
So I just wanna say that we need to recruit the best and the brightest and more experienced providers at Jacobi Medical Center to offset the horrible, you know, maternal mortality that we have in our black and brown population.
3:58:30
So cutting our, benefits, including our, our, vacation, sick time, making us some work extra 10 years to have 4 more days of sick, time, slashing, not basically not giving any compensation for, for, seniority is not gonna recruit the brightest and best patient people to take care of our very complex patients.
