I'm super, super proud today to be passing a resolution, or to have it heard so that later today it can be passed, a resolution that honors the late, great Cecilia Gentile.

And Cecilia was a very formative figure in my life, a super special, impactful person.

She held such an important role in the social spaces and community that I moved through and since she's passed away, there have been all of these opportunities to to meet lots of new people and I've discovered that she held the same kind of space and presence in their lives and their communities and that I find really, really incredible and amazing.

Even though Cecilia is no longer with us, her impact lives on and it's magnified by every person who knew her.
