Okay.
0:26:39
The city expanded announced an expanded remote work pilot in 2023 and for 16,500 employees.
0:26:47
How is the pilot progressing, and does the city have plans to expand, this pilot any further?
Daniel Pollock
0:26:54
Thank you, council member, for that question.
0:26:56
Obviously, you know, we we are in 2025 now.
0:26:59
It's been nearly 2 years since we launched that program.
0:27:01
Mhmm.
0:27:02
You know, it's been implemented at, I believe around 40 agencies.
0:27:07
It expires May 31st, and it is subject to a 1 year extension by mutual agreement.
0:27:13
We've been meeting with DC 37 practically weekly since the program launched Mhmm.
0:27:17
To work out issues, to, kind of discuss, you know, how it's going.
0:27:22
And I think, you know, as we've now entered the new year with the expiration approaching, those conversations will turn to what the next steps are.
0:27:29
So there's an option that I've baked into the agreement for a 1 year extension.
0:27:33
And then, obviously, if there either side wants to raise any potential changes, we would do that.
Carmen N. De La Rosa
0:27:39
When is the expiration?
Daniel Pollock
0:27:40
May 31st.
Carmen N. De La Rosa
0:27:41
May 31st.
0:27:42
And, so far, do you know if that 16,500 number has sort of stayed steady?
Daniel Pollock
0:27:48
So I the number that I knew of initially, I believe, was over 20,000, but we don't keep a constant tracker.
0:27:54
So we knew the initial, we had the initial numbers because the city, committee approved all the rosters.
Kadian Outar
0:28:02
Mhmm.
Daniel Pollock
0:28:02
But since then, there may have been changes.
0:28:04
Some people may have been added.
0:28:05
Some people may have been removed.
0:28:06
That's all in agency discretion.
0:28:08
So we don't know how many there are right now for sure.
Carmen N. De La Rosa
0:28:11
Alright.
0:28:11
So after May, we may have a clearer picture.
Daniel Pollock
0:28:13
Yes.
Carmen N. De La Rosa
0:28:14
Okay.
