Commissioner Molly Wasow Park explains the process of tracking shelter performance, particularly focusing on housing exit and subsidized exit metrics.
- The department sets expectations and targets for subsidized placements, adjusted based on the shelter population.
- Shelters not meeting targets are put on corrective action plans.
- Performance monitoring is a key part of assessing shelter effectiveness in helping clients transition to permanent housing.
