Council Member Linda Lee inquires about the nonprofit partners involved in the opioid settlement-funded programs. Dr. Rebecca Linn-Walton provides an overview of the various programs and partners working with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

  • 65 OASIS licensed clinics across the city
  • 14 nurse care manager programs
  • 14 Syringe Services Programs (SSPs), located in communities with highest overdose rates
  • Approximately 1,100 Opioid Overdose Prevention Programs (OOPs) across the city

So we have 65 so outside of the overdose, the overdose settlement funds, we have 65 OASIS licensed clinics across the city.
0:38:40
We have 14 nurse care manager programs.
0:38:43
We have 14 SSPs, and the SSPs tend to be located in those communities of highest overdose rates, and they really see that as their work is to have that effect in the community.
0:38:55
We also have, I think, 1100, OOPs.
0:38:59
Those are the programs that are licensed to be providing overdose education and handout kits, and we have 1100 across the city.
