Thank you so much, both to FDNY and Parks for your testimony.

I'm gonna ask some questions, then I'll turn it over to, my cochair to ask questions as well.
0:28:05
Then we'll open it up to to council members, to to ask their questions too.
0:28:09
So my first question and I and I appreciate, you know, the testimony from from both of the agencies about the responsiveness of the fires.
0:28:17
I think you all moved very quickly, given the unexpected nature of them to try to address and contain it, and we're very grateful for for your work.
0:28:25
My first question is in a very simplified way is while there have been forest fires before, obviously, last fall was a very challenging time because of the drought and the extent of the fires.
0:28:38
I I know, you know, FDNY too in the past has addressed the issues of forest fires too.
0:28:43
But what would you say are some of the lessons learned from both agencies, and in in both in terms of things that came up while battling those forest fires and then things that we can do going forward as a city?
0:28:56
The circumstances were unique in that sense, but, sadly, I don't think they're gonna be unique going forward.
0:29:02
So as we deal with the hotter climate, possibly and likely more droughts in the future, less rainfall, what would you all say were the lessons that each of you drew as agencies from the experience this past fall?
0:29:12
Let's start with, FDNY first.
