Following the recent brushfires fires, we've begun a dedicated internal effort to detail lessons learned to refine and improve our fire response protocols and communication guidelines.

And we're participating in the brush fire task force, recently created by FDNY.

We are also pleased to report that to assist with recovery efforts following the dis the, dissipation of the fires, the New York City Green Fund has generously allocated funding for direct to noncompetitive grants available to partner organizations to care for natural areas, which were impacted by the fires.

In consultation with Parks and the Natural Areas Conservancy, the New York City Green Fund is reviewing applications for the grants, which will fund forest recovery activities in those parks, including seeding native ground cover and replanting trees and shrubs.
