It it it should be and I hope it is.

We're we're certainly living in a time when ironically, right, counter to what some of the talking points are, it seems that there's a particular party that is more interested in micromanaging what goes on in that very special space between the doctor and the patient, where doctors across the country are afraid to provide abortion care because of state regulations.
1:36:34
I'm fearful of a time when you're gonna where your students, who are gonna go out into our underserved communities, are gonna be shackled by providing care that is, subpar because of because of that overreach of the federal government that isn't based in science, but is based on ideology.

And, you know, what I'm hoping is that CUNY School of Medicine, without being political, just states very clearly that we're going to continue to ensure that our curriculum is based on science and is based on the health of the patients, the health of the people we are here to serve.
1:37:22
Your curriculum, your guidance is all going to reflect that, and not the whims of an ideological driven administration, whatever side of the aisle they may be on.
1:37:32
Yeah.

1:37:33
And respecting the humanity of the person.
1:37:35
Yeah.
1:37:36
And that's where we are.
1:37:38
And I don't see that changing as long as I'm the dean.
1:37:41
I mean, we care I mean, as the man said, we care very deeply for the person who's in the gown, who's in the bed.
1:37:51
And our job, regardless of sometimes whether you like the person or not, is to provide them the highest quality care.
1:37:58
Okay?
1:38:01
So that's the space.
1:38:02
And we'll do it in an evidence based fashion.
1:38:05
And we will do the best to try to actively hear them.
1:38:08
You know?
