Good afternoon, and welcome to the committee on land use.

Today, we are voting on multiple items referred out by our two subcommittees, and I wanna thank chair Riley and chair Hanks for their ongoing leadership here.

First, we vote to approve L U 207 for the landmark designation of the Jacob Day residence and council member Rivera's district in Manhattan.
0:00:56
As council member Rivera noted at the hearing, this proposed Manhattan landmark holds not just just architectural and artistic significance, but it is culturally important and embodies the spirit of civil rights advocacy.
0:01:10
Councilman Rivera is in support of the LPC's designation.
0:01:13
We will vote to approve some modifications that will use 212 and 213 for the 441 And 467 Prospect Avenue rezoning, also known as the Arrow Lending Proposal and relating to property in council member Hanif's district in Brooklyn.
0:01:26
The proposal consists of a zoning map amendment and zoning text amendment to facilitate a new residential mixed use development with approximately 20 apartments of which approximately 100 would be affordable.
0:01:41
A modification will be to modify the proposed zoning district to a mix of r seven a and r six b districts, which will disincentivize and the displacement and demolition of existing buildings in the rezoning area.
0:01:54
These, modified zoning districts are more consistent with the built neighborhood context and will also help retain the MIH designation for the entire rezoning area.
0:02:04
A modification will also remove MIH option two.
0:02:07
We've been joined by council member, Hanif, who is in support of this application, and she will make some remarks.
