Commissioner Hendon outlines the aftercare services and Critical Time Interventions (CTIs) provided to veterans after they are housed.
- All veterans housed by DVS have access to aftercare follow-up services
- Critical Time Interventions are performed at 6, 11, 18, 24, and 36 months after move-out
- CTIs may result in internal referrals within DVS or external referrals to community partners
- Services focus on mental health, employment, and other enabling resources
- DVS works with SSVF-funded entities to place veterans in supportive housing when needed

Aftercare ensures that veterans are connected to key services at all times with a special emphasis on periods of transition and recovery.

Aftercare services include critical time interventions during which DVS checks in on those whom we've housed.

Critical time interventions are performed during the following periods after move out.

Six months, eleven months, eighteen months, twenty four months, and thirty six months.
