ACS developed a five-year plan with four key pillars to guide their efforts in improving the foster care system:
- Meet the present need for sufficient foster home capacity
- Focus on family
- Create safety and stability
-
Ensure child and youth success and improve well-being
-
The plan was developed as outcomes improved and new contracts with providers were being implemented
- Voices of youth in care, former foster youth, and families continue to shape the work and evolution of the system
