Council Member Nantasha M. Williams responds to Public Advocate Jumaane Williams' testimony, agreeing with and expanding on his points about systemic racism.
- She references a colleague's perspective on the pervasiveness of white supremacy in systems.
- Williams emphasizes that systemic racism doesn't require a particular ethnicity or race to uphold it due to its deep embeddedness.
- She agrees that leadership diversity alone doesn't necessarily change outcomes if the underlying system remains unchanged.
- The Council Member thanks the Public Advocate for his testimony and insights.

Thank you and yeah one of the things you said reminded me of what one of my colleagues said in my my program that I was in and she always talks about how you know white supremacy is so pervasive that it doesn't need you know a particular ethnicity or race to uphold it, that it's just so deeply embedded into our systems and so it doesn't really matter you know who's in leadership that the system itself is pervasive in that way.
