I know but the department and the police foundation, to also demonstrate that you care about the community, like, you should assess the budgets appropriately.
2:49:57
You know, like, I just had a conversation with one of my community affairs officers the other day and I'm gonna try to see if I can help them even with the vehicle.
2:50:03
Like, They don't even have a vehicle to get around, they're sharing vehicles in the precinct.
2:50:07
Another example is Saturday Night Lights, that DYCD funds.
2:50:11
I've seen police officers literally just chilling on the side, the kids are like doing whatever, so it's like you have these initiatives and programs that are supposed to be proactive but it just seems like you're trying to like proverbially like check a box and not actually trying to do the necessary proactive work, it's essentially like you rather use the resources, money and time to upkeep a dang database or other types of like precision policing models but then the the policing models that I actually appreciate.
2:50:39
Like I actually appreciate my commute, that's like my favorite unit in the NYPD except the aviation unit, they're pretty cool too.
2:50:46
But outside of that, like the community affairs unit is like my favorite unit in in the department and I have seen historically how this department is underfunded.
