That's one of the biggest complaints, you know, throughout, not just my district, but throughout Southeast Queens is that we have beautiful developments coming up all over the place, particularly in the Downtown Jamaica core.

And initially, we hear these apartments going up and the community is left out where, you know, there's always been some stipulation, even as my days as board chair, that the community will always have priority.

And apparently, that's not been the case over the years.

So, whatever I'm doing in my district, I want to make sure that the community board, the surrounding residents do have priority in these spaces that are going up and not being pushed out of, you know, some wonderful places that are coming up in the community.
