2:25:24
Okay.
2:25:25
Cool.
2:25:25
Alright.
2:25:27
I want to first say thank you so much for having this forum.
2:25:33
It is very important to everyone in East New York and Brownsville.
2:25:37
My name is Janet Lugo.
2:25:39
I am the NYPD clergy liaison for PSA two which services East New York and Brownsville and I do community affairs.
2:25:49
So as a liaison to the community we receive so many phone calls from the shelters and the phone the phone calls that we receive are something that this community could definitely help us out with.
2:26:02
There are fights about food, if you can believe that in New York City, right, just just food, food alone.
2:26:10
It'll be things like that that people go into the shelters and when we'll get phone calls people need food because either it was bad, it was received in all kinds of ways, they said that they would they would send 200 meals instead, there were only 50 meals for 300 people and so on and so forth.
2:26:38
When people are in the shelter system, they're already at their lowest.
2:26:44
They're already at their lowest.
2:26:45
They already have a situation in which you know, I go into a situation where I see these people and they need to get the services that they need.
2:26:55
For them not to be able to get the food that they need so that they can move forward and get the services that they need to get out of the system is inhumane.
2:27:05
And so that's why what you guys are doing is very important.
2:27:09
You know for us to have to call a person like Rethink, which is an amazing organization to help us with something.
2:27:20
Thank you.

2:27:32
Let's give let's give the resources to people that are willing to help the people and have something in place that can make us be able to do something better so that people can live a better quality of life.
