Council Member Chris Banks inquires about the use of the 311 system for NYCHA complaints, as allowed by Local Law 01/1927 of 2021.
- NYCHA officials are not directly aware of residents' experiences when calling 311 with complaints.
- 311 does take calls related to NYCHA and refers them to the housing authority.
- NYCHA creates work orders based on these referrals, similar to complaints received through their own call center.

I don't I'm not aware what have they what they experienced because that's a question for DO IT, you know, and they manage it.

I will say that, yes, they do take those calls and they were they do refer them to us, and so we create work orders, you know, for that and follow-up, you know, the same as if they came in through a call center.
