This chapter introduces the Queen's Future/Metropolitan Park proposal, a project to transform Citi Field's parking lots into a dynamic sports and entertainment district. The presentation outlines the ULURP application, project goals, and key features of the development.

  • The project aims to create a 25-acre park, a world-class hotel with a casino, and improved transportation infrastructure.
  • The development team includes Steve Cohen (Mets owner), Hard Rock International, and other partners.
  • The proposal is seeking one of three downstate gaming licenses approved by New York State voters in 2013.
