Thank you, David.

First, let me thank Chairman Riley, Councilman Moya for your tireless leadership to really transform the area around Citi Field.
0:25:56
The new soccer stadium is going to be beautiful, transformative, and we're really excited about our project to help try to tie together all these great sports venues.
0:26:06
So thank you for your leadership.
0:26:08
Councilmember Schulman, thank you for your input every step of the way.
0:26:12
Really appreciate the council's attention.
0:26:14

What we're doing with this project is basically taking 50 acres of asphalt parking lots, taking half the land, 25 acres of it, and building a brand new 25 acre New York City public park.
0:26:31
We are building it for the parks department.
0:26:33
We will maintain it long term and provide the public safety for the park.
0:26:37
We're gonna create 23,000 union jobs throughout this project and over 6,000 full time union jobs once the project is open.
0:26:46
To my brothers and sisters in labor here today who are gonna staff this building for us when it opens, we appreciate you being here, and we appreciate your support.
0:26:55
As Greg talked about, we're gonna, as part of a community benefits package, completely transform the MTA station.
0:27:03
We're gonna build a live music venue, 5,000 seat venue so that we can do concerts, not just when the Mets are away a couple times a summer, but year round.
0:27:11
We're going to have lots of great food options.
0:27:15
We're going to have an MWBE local hiring requirement of a minimum of 30%, but we've committed to our borough president that the goal is 35 and beyond.
0:27:26
If we hire from the neighborhoods around us, we're going to blow these numbers out of the water.
0:27:30
We sit in the middle of one of the most diverse neighborhoods on earth, and we have committed to local hiring and have a number of local hiring partners that are going to help us with this.

0:27:43
We believe this is the best site in New York City for a project of this kind.
0:27:48
As Julissa mentioned, we're right next to LaGuardia Airport.
0:27:51
We're at the intersection of three major highways.
0:27:53
We're at the intersection of these three great sports venues, the New York Mets, the new soccer stadium for the New York City Football Club, and the US Tennis.
0:28:02
We're on the seven line.
0:28:03
We're on the Long Island Railroad, and thanks to council member Moya's leadership and our borough president's involvement, we're pursuing a new ferry service to the site.
0:28:12
Really an ideal location from the perspective of mass transit and accessibility for a project like this.
