Thank you.
2:39:30
Thank you for having me, chair Riley and subcommittee.
2:39:33
My name is Brian Lee, born and residing in Queens, and I've been running a vocational trade school in Manhattan for over thirty years.
2:39:42
We're currently graduating hundreds of skilled workers each year who needs jobs.
2:39:48
And I know and I know a lot of previous testimonies highlighted this exact thing, but that just shows how much gravity job creation is, is really pulling right now.
2:39:57
This is why I'm voicing my support for Metropolitan Park.
2:40:02
A majority of the students that graduate from my school happen to be legal immigrants, and we require that all students, to be high school graduates at a minimum.
2:40:12
So as you can see, we're graduating trade educated, highly skilled citizens.
2:40:17
The jobs and careers that Metropolitan Park is creating will be huge for schools, private like mine, and public schools also locally and in the whole city.
2:40:30
They need these opportunities, and we cannot afford to pass this up.
2:40:35
That's the ultimate reason for my support, and I look forward to Metropolitan Park being built and us reaping all of its benefits.
2:40:43
Let's please get this done.
2:40:45
Shout out to Sully and his team, and thank you again to the committee for giving me this opportunity.
