My name is Helen Jang, director of the workforce development, and I'm I'm here today on behalf of Korean Community Service of Metropolitan New York to express our strong support for the Queen's Future Plan, a plan that holds the promise of not just transforming infrastructure, but changing lives across our board.

For over fifty years, K Safe has proudly serviced the immigrant communities of New York City.

We are the longest and the largest Korean nonprofit in New York City, and we have been here for those who need it most, Empowering 1,700 individuals daily through programs focused on aging, mental health, public health, and workforce development.

They are the foundation of the economic resilience and opportunity for the most vulnerable members in our society.

At KCS, we believe that economic empowerment begins with across the good jobs, stable, rewarding career that help people build their future.

Our workforce development program is designed to give people the tools, confidence, and support they need to secure their job.

Over 55 paid internship program trained 70 to 80 individual every year, preparing them for long term role such as kitchen assistant, office assistant, teacher assistant, housekeeping assistant.

This program isn't about temporary work.

It's about creating pathway to permanent employment and every year over twenty five percent of the participants go into the secure long term career that transform their lives.

We don't stop there.

Throughout the career readiness program, we give individual the skills they need to drive computer and and certificate digital marketing, home health aid.

This work is already changing life, but the Queen's Future Plan offered incredible opportunity to scale up our effort and create a hundred high quality job across sector.
