Hello, everybody.
2:48:32
Thank you for having, giving us the opportunity to speak on behalf of this project.
2:48:38
My name is Orda Reyes, and I've been listening about this project and have heard many arguments over why shouldn't it happen and why it should happen.
2:48:50
In my point of view, I am for the project.
2:48:54
Metropolitan Park is proposing a real difference.
2:48:59
And, basically, what I'm trying to say is that I keep on hearing people blaming the coins, and they have explained many times the situation was created by somebody that decided to, create this parking lot and make it a park, or name it as a park.
2:49:19
And I keep on hearing how many times we try to penalize Metropolitan Park for trying to fix that.
2:49:25
Let's talk about this parking lot.
2:49:27
The land that once they built has been on a lease for and is going to be on a lease for the next eighty one years.
2:49:34
With rent actively being paid, so I don't understand why is there in a position on building something there of something they're already paying for.
2:49:43
I want to see something big and beautiful in our community.
2:49:46
I don't want to look in the dark, parking lot anymore.
2:49:50
I want to see jobs being created for families and have families have a safe space for kids to play while before a game, after a game.
2:50:03
This have also what brought up to my attention is the fact that they're also offering throughout this project, are gonna offer childcare for their employees, something that it's very rare to hear and see in Queens.
2:50:17
With this, given the opportunities for those families that work there to be able to have an easier commute to pick up the children and also to go home if they live in the neighborhood, which from my understanding, this is the purpose of this project.
2:50:31
I know some people worry about the casino bringing addiction into

2:50:36
Sorry.
2:50:37
Let me just finish out this.
2:50:40
Our kids are already surrounded by smokes and shop and dispensaries and alcohol.
2:50:46
I don't see the reason why this project wouldn't come through.
2:50:50
I think at the end of the day, we want something better for Queens, and I wanna see more employees being created and have a better and easier commute for families to pick up the children from work and have more quality time with them.
2:51:03
Thank you.
