I live in Dory Miller housing, which is the largest residential community right now that is directly adjacent to this proposed project.

One of the major benefits that you may or may not understand is that we live in what's called an urban oven.

From the parking lot, absorb absorbing heat through the summer months and the runways from LaGuardia, the ambient temperature is approximately 10 to 12 degrees higher than any other surrounding areas in the community.

By transforming this parking lot into a park, it's going to reduce that, improve the air quality for people who maybe have respiratory issues, but most importantly, it's going to be a designation where people could come and participate and engage in the park.

I fully support the program because the benefits that it's going to provide not only for the immediate community but for the outlying borough and for the city is going to be tremendous.

So, therefore, we're asking that you support this, and it's going to be a great benefit.

We're going to continue to correct the the wrongs of Robert Moses, reconnect the community, and make it a landmark and a designation place for people to come throughout the world.
