Good afternoon, distinguished council members and panelists, all who took the time to come out today.

I just wanna say that this project is something that this community is in desperate need of.

We've seen for years this part of Queens has been underserved.

As a person who's lived here over forty years, our some of our families have been here seventy years.

Not all of us can be doctors.

Not all of us can be for higher education.

This provides construction jobs.

This provides the blueprints for families to make a new life.

It gives an opportunity to people that might not have served and not had an opportunity.

This project itself is a full full year round opportunity for musical and events.

This is an opportunity to host different projects that we can't.

Anyone that knows in 2012, we lost the bid for the Olympics because as the inter body had stated, New York City was not ready to host some type of these events.
