Rita Joseph
0:42:43
How many students are accepted into the program, and what, again, are the qualifications to be accepted into this program?
Kajori Chaudhuri
0:42:50
So just to clarify, council member, it it's not a program for students.
0:42:55
So it is a continuing education program.
0:42:59
So Fordham University has estate, professional real estate program where they partner with us so that real estate agents can receive free continuing education as they learn about the city human rights law and protections, and how and protections in housing.
0:43:17
So it it is one of our ways, preventative tools so that in we are proactively working with the school to ensure that people can receive that training and, and work with us.
Rita Joseph
0:43:29
Okay.
0:43:30
So it's kinda working like an ambassador program.
0:43:32
How long is the training?
Kajori Chaudhuri
0:43:35
It it's a one credit training.
0:43:36
So it's a 1.5 credit.
0:43:39
So it's it's like a two hour training.
Rita Joseph
0:43:42
And what kind of outreach are you doing to real estate folks so they're aware of this program?
0:43:46
A lot of you know, we have a lot of great city programs, and sometimes folks know have no idea that they exist.
0:43:51
What is the what does the outreach look like?
Kajori Chaudhuri
0:43:55
So there are different ways that we do it.
0:43:57
One, we've created like a list looking at websites, created a list of like real estate folks and do mailing to them, emails to them.
0:44:09
We have the information is on our web site.
0:44:13
We also ensure that when our staff are out there in public engagements, they have the flyer with them.
0:44:21
So those are different methods that we've used.
0:44:23
And we always encourage and look forward to partnerships to get the information out more.
Rita Joseph
0:44:30
We want to make sure communities that are also underrepresented in these spaces are always there, and they have information that they can use.
