Council Member Williams inquires about the aspects of the hiring process that are fully within CCHR's control. Deputy Commissioner Salazar outlines the steps managed by the agency.
- CCHR is responsible for creating job postings
- The agency handles screening and interviewing candidates
- CCHR selects candidates and extends job offers
- After a candidate accepts an offer, CCHR submits the selection to OMB for approval
- The agency maintains control over the initial stages of recruitment and selection

So for us it is you know creating the job posting, are screening candidates, we're interviewing candidates.

Once we submit to OMB for approval that is where you know that's another process.

But for our end it is the creating the job postings, the screenings, the interviewing and then we once we select a candidate and that candidate has accepted our offer then we submit to OMB for approval.
