Thank you.
2:04:35
Have you started to develop the standards for the next round of audits and do you involve the workforce at all in determining the auditing standards?
Jeanne Victor
2:04:46
So we're just at the beginning stages of considering what the audit standards should be for the next for the next audit cycle.
2:04:56
We just got a part time executive agency council on board this week.
2:05:01
This was her first week.
2:05:02
So we want to include her.
2:05:04
It will be the research team.
2:05:06
It will be the audit team, obviously.
2:05:08
And we also all of our commissioners are very interested in what the audit standards will be for the next cycle.
Nantasha Williams
2:05:16
Thank you.
2:05:17
The report states that EEPC held a symposium in 2024 for city agencies to discuss how to increase diversity within their agencies.
2:05:26
Was this the first symposium held to discuss this topic?
Jeanne Victor
2:05:32
This was not necessarily the first symposium held to discuss this topic.
2:05:39
We had an expert from NYU, NYU who came and spoke to us in 2024 and also two years prior in 2022.
2:05:52
Different perspectives, but the same kind of topic.
2:05:55
She was a she's an HR expert and deals in workforce planning, so she was able to talk to us from different perspectives of the same topic.
Nantasha Williams
2:06:06
How many people attended and how many agencies had representatives attend and what were those agencies?
Jeanne Victor
2:06:14
So in our first symposium in 2022, we had roughly I want the number 280 or so sticks out in my head.
2:06:26
In this particular round in 2024, we had just over a hundred participate.
2:06:34
And I have to admit that was our fault.
2:06:36
I don't think that we, our technology we we didn't do well enough with our technology to get everyone to attend.
2:06:46
So so major major agencies attended, but we weren't able to encompass everyone that we wanted to at the time.
Nantasha Williams
2:06:56
Can you just name, like, you have any agencies that you can name that attended this round?
Jeanne Victor
2:07:04
In in the last round?
Nantasha Williams
2:07:05
Mhmm.
2:07:06
I'm particularly interested in like if FDNY attended.
Jeanne Victor
2:07:12
I don't recall.
2:07:13
Or department of Yeah.
2:07:15
I don't recall.
Nantasha Williams
2:07:15
They're like historic agencies that lack diversity.
Jeanne Victor
2:07:22
Yeah.
2:07:22
I'm not I'm not sure.
Russell Ferri
2:07:24
We could get that to you but we don't have it offhand if they attended.
Nantasha Williams
2:07:27
Yeah.
2:07:28
We'll get to know.
2:07:29
Thank you.
2:07:30
I'm sorry about that.
Annabel Palma
2:07:31
It's
Nantasha Williams
2:07:31
okay.
2:07:33
Alright.
2:07:34
Well, what feedback did you receive and how will you use that feedback?
2:07:40
Did you receive any feedback from agencies or
Jeanne Victor
2:07:43
Yeah.
2:07:44
You wanna take that?
Russell Ferri
2:07:46
So I think the presentation was helpful in the sense that a lot of times HR and EEO people focus on recruitment, which is obviously very important.
2:07:57
But Doctor.
2:07:58
Tarulli's presentation also focused on retention understand people's career trajectory and how they can grow within a particular organization or entity or within the city as a whole.
2:08:10
And so we got some positive feedback that, you know, people were thinking about those things in a way that they probably had not before.
2:08:19
So it's not just always about recruitment, but it's also about keeping people on board once they're in.
Nantasha Williams
2:08:28
Thank you.
2:08:29
Did you include the Commission on Racial Equity in the symposium last year?
Jeanne Victor
2:08:35
I really don't recall.
2:08:37
Okay.
2:08:39
Alright.
2:08:40
I think that
