Council Member Crystal Hudson inquires about missing data in the term and condition report and the timeline for addressing these issues. Commissioner Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez and CFO Jose Mercado explain the challenges and the new data management system being implemented.

  • DFTA lost some functionality in transitioning from the Accelerated to Passport system
  • The agency is working to correct data reporting issues
  • A new data management system called Veevae is being developed
  • Veevae will integrate with Passport and give DFTA more control over data
  • The new system is expected to be operational in the next fiscal year
Jose Mercado

So as part of the transition from accelerated to passport, we lost some functionality.
Crystal Hudson
2:09:07
Got it.
Jose Mercado
2:09:07
And so we're still working on trying to correct that.
2:09:09
And we're hoping to do that in the next report.
Crystal Hudson
2:09:12
In the next report?
2:09:14
When is that?
Jose Mercado
2:09:20
Yeah.
2:09:21
Next year.
2:09:21
Sorry.
Crystal Hudson
2:09:23
Next year.
Jose Mercado
2:09:24
With a new so we're actually having a new system.
Crystal Hudson
2:09:26
Next fiscal year or next calendar year?
Jose Mercado
2:09:29
Calendar.
2:09:31
Fiscal year.
2:09:31
It's next year.
Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez
2:09:33
When does it does it hit?
Jose Mercado
2:09:34
Okay.
2:09:35
Next next fiscal year.
Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez
2:09:36
The other thing that that component to that that's important is that we are changing our data management system because the last the star system, the system that we've had in place for a long time, We're upgrading that so that we have more control over the data rather than the vendor has control of the data and we have to pay them all every time that we wanna change to that data.
2:10:03
So we've created a new system called Veevae which will be which we anticipate will will one, can talk to Passport and integrate Passport easier.
2:10:13
And second, that we have more control of the data as well as the provider will have more input control of the data.
Crystal Hudson
2:10:25
Vive, V I V E?
2:10:26
V I V E.
2:10:36
Alrighty.
2:10:36
That concludes my questions.
2:10:39
Well, thank you.
2:10:40
Thank you so much for your testimony and the answers to your questions.
2:10:46
We're gonna move on to public testimony.
Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez
2:10:49

2:10:49

2:10:57
