My name is Kay Banton, and I'm an older New Yorker living on the Lower East Side.

Thank you for the opportunity to testify on the importance of older adult services.
3:24:08
The threat of over a hundred million dollars in additional budget cuts would mean a loss of centers and services so urgently needed.
3:24:17
I attend the Grand Street Older Adult Center daily.
3:24:21
It's my second home and a safe, supportive place which gives me a feeling of community and belonging.
3:24:28
I'm able to engage in many activities such as tai chi, line dancing, and various educational programs.
3:24:35
The proposed cuts will result in isolation for many older adults which lead to less opportunities to engage in physical and social activities.
3:24:47
It will also impact their food security and lead to health issues both physically and mentally.
