Some of this has already been addressed, but I guess a more direct and and pointed question would just be around AIM UP, of course, and the rezoning and plans for real investments associated with that to be confirmed before the departure of deputy mayors and and just wanna make sure that there's a a continuation, and it would be great to hear just a little bit about that from you on the record.
0:54:39
Thank you.
Dan Garodnick
0:54:40
Yes.
0:54:40
Well, certainly, our commitment stands to you, to your community, to your colleague, Councilmember Rousey, that we will do our very best to get the plan right, to work with you right up to the finish line here, and to pair it with the necessary investments to make this a complete success for you and for the neighborhood.

I will note that, you know, in our reporting structure with a new deputy mayor coming in, He is well prepared to continue without any gap in either access or advocacy for what we need to do to be able to make the necessary investments on Atlantic Avenue and in the surrounding area.
0:55:30
We're really excited about this.
0:55:32
We know that the zoning has to be paired with the infrastructure, the streetscape improvements, to be able to make it a complete plan.
0:55:42
And so we look forward to working with you to be able to bring that fruition.
0:55:46
We do not see any reason for concern on our side.
0:55:50
We will have continuity, and we certainly
Crystal Hudson
0:55:52
are
Rafael Salamanca
0:55:52
But
Crystal Hudson
0:55:52
no reason for concern on my side.

the city hall, department city planning side.

We're ready to do this with you.

Crystal Hudson
0:56:10
Great.
0:56:11
Thank you so much.
0:56:12
Thank you.
Rafael Salamanca
0:56:14

We've been joined by council member Gail Brewer.
0:56:17
I just have one last question.
0:56:20
Neighborhood plans, new need.
0:56:23
So in the preliminary plan, $1,000,000 in city funding is added in fiscal year twenty six, '2 million is added in fiscal year twenty seven, and '28 to support neighborhood plans agreed to in the city of yes legislation.
0:56:38
What exactly will this funding be used for and which neighborhoods will be supported by these zoning funds?
Dan Garodnick
0:56:54
Yeah.
0:56:54
This this relates to our new needs for environmental consulting.
0:57:01
As was pointed out in by council member Sanchez, our environmental review is critical to our ability to advance neighborhood plans.
0:57:10
That's what that relates to, and that's what that's all about.
Rafael Salamanca
0:57:15
Okay.
0:57:17
I wanna recognize council member O'Reilly.
