Our budget supports the agency's five departments including the research department responsible for evaluating and advancing properties for designation, the preservation department which reviews permit applications for work on designated properties, the enforcement department which investigates complaints of potential violations and helps owners correct non compliances, and the archaeology and environmental review departments, which assist city, state, and federal agencies in their environmental review process.
