I'm doctor Mohammad Khalid, and I'm the interim chair of the civilian complaint review board.

I'm joined today by the CCRB executive director, Jonathan Darch.

I served on the CCRB from 02/00/2005 to 02/14 and was reappointed by this council in October as the Staten Island representative in December where Eric Adam appointed me as the interim chair.

I'm here today to emphasize the critical importance of the CCRB to public safety in New York City and to address factors that underscore the agency need for adequate funding.
