I would be remiss if I did not mention the overdose crisis that continues to rage, claiming the lives of well over 80 of our neighbors in 2024 and over a 50 in 2023, an immeasurable loss to our community.

The exact toll of deaths from this crisis in 2024 is still unknown as we get the lab reports from from, o m e OCME, but we believe the total number of fatalities will show a hopeful decrease from recent years.
