One of the most important programs we built is Project Restore, which breaks cycles of gang violence that have gripped communities for generation.
4:50:41
Project Restore takes young men caught up in gang life and gives them a real second chance.
4:50:47
They get mentorship, counseling, job training, and most importantly, a reason to believe in the future that doesn't end for them in a jail cell or in the grave.

And it works.
4:51:02
Violence has dropped, and we've seen Project Restore participants go to college, hold steady jobs, and stay out of trouble.
4:51:11
We're making the difference between safety that last and another generation lost.
4:51:17
That's why I'm asking you to baseline funding for project restore so that when a young person is ready to leave a gang and gang life behind, we are ready and willing to be able to help them.
