The facts are clear, there is a hidden epidemic of domestic and gender based violence in our country.

The CDC estimates that one in five women in The US experience severe intimate partner violence in their lifetimes with their assaults often going unreported to the police.

This legislation would would require the mayor's office to end domestic violence and gender based violence to make available at no cost posters about recognizing gender based violence to nail, hair, and beauty salons, and other cosmetology establishments across the city.
