Thank you for your testimony.
5:28:25
I want to talk around class size.
5:28:29
I know SCA's most recent estimate for number of new seats needed for class size compliance is about 70,000.
5:28:37
There are about 33,417 seats funded in the plan and 14,174 seats funded under the twenty twenty four to twenty twenty to twenty twenty four capital plan that will open by September of twenty twenty eight.
5:28:54
Can you confirm that 70,000 seats is the current estimate?
5:28:59
It is.
5:29:00
How did you come about that number?
Cora Liu
5:29:04
It is really based on the number of schools that we have work with New York City public school to identify that will be in need of space to comply.
5:29:14
And we use the number of classroom to roughly estimate the number of seats that's needed.
Rita Joseph
5:29:18
So that's an estimate, right?
Cora Liu
5:29:20
Correct.
