Thank you, council member.
0:55:38
We took notes.
0:55:40
We think we got it all, but we're gonna start going down the line to answer your responses, and we'll gladly ask you to clarify if we missed anything.
0:55:46
Thank you so much.

0:55:47
Thank you, chancellor.
0:55:49
Thank you, council member.
0:55:51
So I know there are many parts.
0:55:52
I want to move quickly on the portion of mine, and then I'll give it to our CFO for the funding piece as it relates to special education.
0:55:59
This year we've hired four sixty nine related service providers.
0:56:03
Earlier we were talking about preschool and about Carter cases, know we will talk about preschool today.
0:56:09
I want to just call out for our community school districts, that's districts one through thirty two, district seventy five, currently our service provision is at 93%, and that is thanks to the investments in those four sixty nine additional providers.
0:56:29
In addition to that, we've opened up 79 sensory sites opening on Saturdays and after school.
0:56:36
You've heard a lot about that.
0:56:38
That is currently being funded via a grant for this year and next year, so we're excited to be able to sustain that additional service.
0:56:46
This year for the first time, we're providing services seven days a week via Saturday and Sunday academies.
0:56:52
Again, that's being sustained largely on grants for this year and next year.
0:56:57
That's very exciting, but it is why we've been able to move to some of our historic highs of 93%.
0:57:04
I know we'll talk about preschool later.
0:57:06
In terms of the funding, can you repeat, council member, your special education funding question so that my colleagues can respond to you on that?
0:57:21
Okay, maybe we should move on to the
Rita Joseph
0:57:26
council member Brooks Powers, can you repeat the last part of your question?
Melissa Aviles-Ramos
0:57:34
Chair, I think maybe we can
Selvena N. Brooks-Powers
0:57:35
Okay.
0:57:36
Sorry.
0:57:37
I needed to be let off me.
0:57:39
Apologies.
0:57:40
The last question about the COVID funding was about the expiration of federal COVID relief funds and how DOE planned on filling the funding gap to ensure that critical programs were not disrupted.
0:57:52
Was that the question you wanted me to repeat?
