Chief of Safety and Prevention Partnerships Mark Rampersant provides an update on the current status of SAPIS workers in NYC public schools.
- There are 294 SAPIS workers positions throughout NYC public schools
- 271 positions are actively filled, 10 are on leave, and 13 positions are vacant
- The DOE is looking at three candidates to fill the vacant positions
- Rampersant thanks the council for funding to hire 20 additional SAPIS workers

So as it relates to SAPS workers, currently there are two ninety four SAPS workers positions throughout New York City public schools, of which two seventy one are actively filled in our schools.
