Yeah, I've definitely noticed even on social media that there has been a real push for recruitment and notification of tests coming up and preparation classes that are being given.
0:21:26
I see that all over social media.
0:21:28
Kudos to you again, something that we haven't seen in the past.
0:21:32
I know that you had said that was it Heroes for All?
0:21:36
Is that what it was called?
Nafeesah Noonan
0:21:37
All Heroes Welcome.
Joann Ariola
0:21:39
All Heroes Welcome.
0:21:40
So I think that that really speaks to the diversity issue that has always come up when it comes to the fire department.
0:21:47
So heroes for all mean that everyone is welcome to to take the test, to pass the test, to become a firefighter, to become an emergency medical technician, to become a par paramedic.
0:21:58
So, and you said 8% of the filers were women.
0:22:01
Can you give me percentages on other demographics?
Nafeesah Noonan
0:22:05
Sure.
0:22:06
In terms of filers, we saw 4% Asian, twenty five % black, and 27% Hispanic.
0:22:13
We saw about 35% of our filers were white.
0:22:16
We are now in the process of administering the exam, so we will see where those numbers land at the end of the examination period.
