  • Criticizes the replication of a hotel model in a new shelter, which lacks necessary resources for successful transitions

actually not So just the last bit here.
1:00:38
This shelter is replicating a hotel model, which doesn't have what people need to be successful into transition.
1:00:46
So I find that deeply problematic.
1:00:48
But more importantly, I think what we see is a concentration of a siding in the same neighborhoods consistently with no, DSS is not providing ancillary funding to support the local ecosystem that is absorbing, right, additional folks who need and should be integrated into communities.

So is there a thinking around an approach that when you continue to saturate communities with no ancillary investment in their local infrastructure, like the non profits that are there already serving the community are getting even more overloaded with service requests.
1:01:32
And the city doesn't support those communities and yet continues to say, well we understand it's a we have fair share problem, but not mitigating that at all.
1:01:42
Instead, we see the perpetuation of sighting in the same communities over and over again and other communities receiving no no shelter.
1:01:52
So I I guess we can have a longer conversation I would love.
1:01:55
I know we're working on a time to meet in the neighborhood.
1:01:59
Our residents are very frustrated by an additional facility with no additional resources to the neighborhood.
1:02:07
So we look forward to meeting you.
