Last month, QPL launched the initiative 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, which is designed to establish strong early literacy skills by encouraging parents and caregivers to read with their young children.

In January, as part of our ongoing college and career readiness efforts, a 40 high school students and their families visited our central library to learn about summer opportunities including information on internships and pre college and leadership development programs, as well as exploring various career paths.
