Library presidents, particularly Dennis Walcott, address the potential impact of federal funding cuts on immigrant services provided by libraries.
- Queens Public Library receives federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds
- These funds support English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) programs
- There is concern about the threat to this funding and its impact on serving immigrant populations
