Do you want me to take my pledge?
UNKNOWN
1:30:38
Hi.
1:30:39
Yes.
1:30:41
Please raise your right hand.
1:30:43
Do you affirm to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth before this committee and to respond honestly to council member questions?
Angela DeLillo
1:30:50
I do.
UNKNOWN
1:30:50
Thank you.
1:30:51
You may begin when you're ready.
Angela DeLillo
1:30:52
Thank you.
1:30:53
My name is Angela Delillo.
1:30:54
I am the deputy commissioner for the Bureau of Wastewater Treatment.
1:30:58
I just want to clarify something.
1:31:00
The wastewater resource recovery facility actually has treatment for two different trains.
1:31:06
One is a liquid train, which is the water that comes in.
1:31:10
The other train is for the solids, right?
1:31:13
Whatever gets removed from the liquids then goes through a whole treatment process.
1:31:17
The digesters are part of the solids process.
1:31:21
And so the new digesters will replace all the infrastructure when we're done, not just done with the construction of the cylinders that you're seeing, but also there's a couple of other projects that are coming along afterwards that are going to help us with dewatering and some of the other processes that the solids get exposed to.
1:31:40
Once all of that is done, then yes, that new facility, not just the tanks, right, not just the big visual tanks, but the other smaller areas, will replace all of the existing infrastructures associated with The liquid treatment will remain there the way it is mostly, you know, but there are investments that are envisioned for that part of the train also in the future.
1:32:07
Okay?
Rafael Salamanca
1:32:07
Okay.
1:32:08
Alright.
1:32:09
I'm just gonna reach out to your office and request a meeting.
1:32:11
I know that we're scheduling a walk through with the local community board.
1:32:14
So hopefully, deputy commissioner, you'll be there and we can we can ask some more questions in detail.
Andrea Scarborough
1:32:19
Be my pleasure.
Rafael Salamanca
1:32:20
I appreciate it.
Lincoln Restler
1:32:20
Thank you, mister very much.
